I pulled the drive but there was a mylar cable running below it that moved out of position. it lays across a large oiece of copper(heat sink?). I can't see any place to plug this in to the board or for that matter anything. Is this just for heat transport or does it actually attach to something? My email is firstname.lastname@example.org if someone out there can help me. Thanks Rick
I need to see pictures. What you probably need to do is remove the heat sink and there may be a place to install it under the lip of the heat sink. I may be wrong on this but the cable needs to plug in somewhere. Look at the motherboard for your laptop on ebay -> http://cgi.ebay.com/Acer-Aspire-567... and see if something looks broken on yours. That cable needs to go somewhere. You just need to find it.
