I am replacing the screen to an HP Omnibook 4150B. When I look up the replacement parts available in HP, I get multiple selections. I can't find a replacement part number on the original display. So I have nothing to match it up with. Then I found an LCD display module, fully assembled in display case & bezel with LVDS board, VGA board and hinge covers. So I got to thinking that if I replace the whole assembly and the VGA board then I really don't need to worry about matching up the part numbers just as long as the whole kit is compatible with my make and model of laptop. Any advice you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you for taking the time to read my post!

This is the response I got from HP:

According to your serial number, your warranty for support has expired.[ Thu, Sep 8, 2005 11:53 AM] -- Reena K
However, there are options available to assist you:a. Free support websites links can be provided to you now if you'd like. The links include HP Forums, FAQ and Microsoft links.
b. You can also take your Product to an Authorized Service Partner.
c. If none of the above appeal to you, we do have a pay-for-support option. There is $34.95 charge for out-of-warranty support which covers only the software and hardware that came with your product. They're not very helpful...
