Hello, thanks for your time.

My pc was restarting itself, giving random errors, ect. I hadn't reformated in a long time, so I decided to clean out my pc. I poped my xp cd in and booted from it. It then froze where it examines the disc space. I tried using fdisk to re partition it. It worked.. kinda after a few tries. Also in setup I got some blue screens. I decided to clear the cmos. I made the mistake of not un plugging the pc before i cleared it. When i started it up again, i got a low cmos battery error. So i replaced the battery, and now I am getting the same error. Ivs my mobo shot?

You shouldn't use Fdisk with NTFS disks.

You should have needed to reset the date and time. If you didn't need to then you didn't clear the CMOS. The computer needs to be unplugged for both the battery removal and the clear CMOS operations. You should unplug anytime you are inside the case.

Check to make sure the jumper is in the right position.

- Reformatting is not a method of troubleshooting

- Reformatting will not fix a hardware problem

- Clearing CMOS will not fix a hardware problem

sometimes you will see the low battery error on the next boot after you reset your cmos. are you getting it every boot or just after you reset your cmos?
