Replace Hard Disk

Specs: Windows XP
I have a laptop in which the hard disk doesn't work properly any more. I managed to save my documents with the use of a recovery software. I want to replace the hard disk with a new one. XP came pre installed on the laptop.
What do I need to do in the new hard disk in order to reinstall the xp?
Thank you in advance

You'll need a XP install CD or the "Reinstall/Recovery" CD that came with the computer.

Or if those disks did not come with the computer and you didn't make them yourself then contact the manufacturer for a set. You may need to pay for them.

I have another PC at home with XP.
Is there a way to create a Reinstall/Recovery CD on that PC and then use the CD with the product key that is printed at the back of my laptop for a new installation?
