removing HDD icon from Task Bar

We are having one AMD machine.(win xp) it contains 160 Gb sata HDD. But in the desktop task bar the HDD is showing as a removable device. how canwe remove this icon from task bar. Expecting answers .

You can get rid of that Icon but you don't want to.
That ican is there because of eSATA drives, which can be removed.
You can configure the SATA drive two different ways. The method you are using produces faster drive response. Setting the other way will lose the icon but will drastically diminish drive performance.
Go to Device Manager> disk drives> right click on the SATA drive and choose properties> policies.
