My laptop is brand new. When I insert the
wireless USB mouse dongle into the USB slot,
and remove it, it crashes. I get the blue screen
of death.

I have never encountered this problem before,
and don't know where to start...

Help please!

Did you use the "SAFELY REMOVE" facility, it is on the bottom taskbar to the left of the clock ?

I'm having the same problem here. My laptop was running fine untill about a week ago. Now everytime I remove an USB-device it's:"Hello mr. blue-screen". And yes, it's gone if you do a safe-remove but come on!... My mouse isn't even listed in the safe-remove option, neither is my printer and the both have the same problem of mr. blue-screen! Anyone?

Thanks for your responses.

So I solved the problem. Apparently this is a known common problem with the newest windows vista update. I uninstalled the update, and it solved the problem.

This was advice from the tech support dep. at Sony.
