I think my video card Has DIED not burned or anything, Just DEAD. Red Stripes all the time over the screen, They are even in BIOS not only when OS loads. And other gliches! When i install Video Card 9.8 Drivers or lower or any Graphic drivers, And reboot PC, when OS loads it shows blue screen and drops psyhical memory says Cannot load or find atimd.sys or something, right now i'm running Windows Vista 64bit OS without Graphic drivers thats only way i can load my OS, please i don't have that money to buy another card like that or better, i don't want to buy lower version card then this one. Can i reinstall BIOS maybe its not DEAD just BIOS needs to be reinstalled. I have MSI P31 Neo-F V2 Motherboard, is there way to reinstall BIOS maybe then all will work fine, because my friends say i need to reinstall BIOS i forgot to ask how, Or is there another way to fix this?

You have either a memory problem or a power supply problem, not a BIOS issue.

Look at the label on the side of the power supply (psu) and give us all the information on that label.

I'll guess the HD4850 never worked properly? I'll also guess the onboard video works just fine.

First of all I Don't have Onboard Video card i checked, Second i have 500W Power Supply, thats enaught for my system, my Monitor cable is checked too.

Edited: Oh and i just remember i never never had problems with Video card. Last thing i did is start playing game "Prototype" Then it started gliching PC Rebooted with Red Stripes etc. and other gliches!

Edited: Lemme see more Info about My PSU

I don't think anybody, anyhow can help me. You just keep telling me what i already know, or guessing what is wrong.

This is my PSU: Its from 12Cm Fan ATX Swithching Power Supply, Its switched to highest, Don't tell me agen try switching lower maybe to much W, i did that didn't help.
It is 24 pin
Voltage 115/230V
Oh and its made in China :D

It's this board then? A P31 Neo2-F V2 and not a P31 Neo-F V2?

Here's a psu label with the info we need...

"Don't tell me agen try switching lower maybe to much W"

I never said any such thing, nor would I ever make such a statement...git your stuff together.

"Second i have 500W Power Supply, thats enaught for my system,"

Says who? What is the amperage on the +12v rail(s)?

A HD4850 needs a minimum of 11-12 amps of +12v power to run a 3D game. If you don't have that kind power available, it could be the cause of your problem.

You may have another problem that is causing this but we need to start with the psu or try a different video card.

Have you reseated the video card? Is the 6 pin power connector plugged in?

If you don't want to answer my questions or if you don't want my help, you can just say so and I'll go away.

P31 Neo V2 and not P31 Neo2-F V2
No, i could use any help i can get :)!

Before i putted another video card i already knew it will work fine and it did.

I reaseated video card lots of times, taked it out cleaned it etc... Putted back. I have PCI-E slot, power supply for it connected to, all is connected its seated perfect. All is Ok. Something is wrong with its Core inside.

I can't get that kinda picture of PSU just can't I tried with photocamera, and posting it here, but photo camera was to big s--- couldn't see numbers and letters. Its NOT NOT NOT PSU problem, I had 400W once and it worked fine, then just for safety i upgraded to 500W It works fine now for 1 or 2 years. Its Video Card ;(. As i said i tried puttin' different video card it worked ofcourse.

Please really help me, I don't feel like somebody can help me, because i'm more like not fixing this card :(. I'm smart enaught to fix Stupid video drivers, this other little stuff what people complain about thats annoying because they never had something like this, they just buy new card don't try to fix it. But thats my opinion. At first i tought its just DEAD there's nothing i can do, but i still have little hope. It's still working without Graphic drivers, All i can think of is reinstalling BIOS.

Dude, its not PSU i'm sure.

"All i can think of is reinstalling BIOS"

You don't know much about computers then....

"Dude, its not PSU i'm sure"

Dude, you haven't even bothered to list the brand name or amperage specs, even though you been asked twice. As Skip said, if you're not gonna answer followup questions, we can just go away. Maybe you should be asking your brainiac buddies who said you need to reinstall the BIOS?

Most likely the video card is fried, but it *may* have fried because you have a garbage power supply. I'd be willing to bet the card is still under warranty...go to the manufacturer's website & get the RMA process started.

As for this 500W power supply of yours...500W means nothing. There are cheap $20 500W units & expensive $100+ 500W units, not to mention all sorts in between. We need to know the brand name & the amperage specs. The fact that you refer to it as a "ATX Swithching Power Supply" that's "made in China" *probably* means it's a low end piece of sh!t. Skip gave you an example of a power supply label...the info that's shown on that label is what we need to know. Manufacturer (Antec), model (Neo HE550), amps @ 3.3v (24A), amps @ 5v (20A), amps @ +12v (3 @ 18A each). If you can't at least come up with that info, you're wasting your time & ours....
