I RE-formatted a Win98 PC and installed Win ME. Everythings so far has worked OK except the printer now only prints black. Yellow does not print at all, blue and red print as black.
The printer is seen in device manager with no exclamation marks and reinstalling the drivers it's no better. A friend has the same problem with a different PC after a reinstall. There may be a connection with the reinstall as both printers worked OK before. I have searched the net and this site.

try replace the printer cable and see if that helps, good luck.

Fitting a new colour cartridge, cleaning the print heads did the trick. Quite why the red and blue printed as black... I don't know.
All is well that ends well.
