Hello,
I know that this is ridiculous, but I have an old T1000SE lappy. It may be even below 286, who knows... I can freely asmble and dissassemble it, but it doesn't work (probably too much dissasembling, but still there are not 2 lappies :D ). Anyway, I can't find any info for it. The batt. is low, I tried with an adaptor, only the DC IN blinks. If you have any ideas or suggestions, I will enjoy getting this notebook's grandpa to work. If you have some materials not suitable to be read here, feel free to e-mail me zlobomirATbkDOTru

Well, thank you for the info... Yes, I do not have any experience in laptops. But have such in desktops. So, I will really apreciate your help. I know what DOS is :D, so I can make some use of it.

If you can't get it to run or even boot, DOS is irrelevant.

I can't even make it light up the monitor, no sound... Maybe I can use only the LCD, but how to connect it to, let's say, VGA?

Yes "knowing what DOS is" (even if true) won't be terribly useful until the hardware is up & running.
An old portable such as this would no doubt be easier to work on than a true laptop (more room) but 'standards' were few and far between back in the day.
Assuming there is nothing else wrong (not too likely) the battery itself is may be beyond charging, considering its age.
Google is probably your best friend - also maybe try posting or searching at theobsolete computer helpline
