Hi
I have just bought a Samsung LE19R8 LCD Tv to use as a monitor. My video card is Geforce FX5200
I am experiencing some terrible ghosting (blurred image). Text is really blurry and is actually beginning to hurt my eyes
I've tried changing the resolution and altering the 'coarse' and 'fine' settings on the tv...but no luck.
can anyone suggest a way of removing the ghosting?
I've heard of displaymate..a program that helps correct this..but are there any free programs?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

It's generally best to run an LCD at it's native resolution.

Is your model number LE19R86BDX rather than LE19R8? If so, the native resolution is 1440*900 @ either 60Hz or 75Hz. You *should* be using a DVI cable. Does your video card have a DVI output?

Thanks for the response
The model is LE19R86BDX
I'm not using a DVI cable which explains why I'm having the problem!

Do I need a DVI - VGA? or could I connect the dvi out/in directly?
Once again, thanks!

To take advantage of DVI, your video card has to have a DVI output, your monitor has to have a DVI input, & you have to use a DVI cable. Use anything else & you'll be running analog.

You may also wanna try enabling ClearType.
