computer was left on last night and we did have a power outage. when I started computer this morning power light was flashing red and computer was beeping. I turned it off and tried again. same thing happened.

I would say it's 9 long beeps. Stops for a sec. then does it again.(hp compaq dc5750) don't know if this helps.
Never mind! My husband came home and got it going in two minutes. He said that all you have to do is reset the power bars (that cords are plugged into), unplug and plug the tower back in and it fired right up. But with ours, you can't just shut off the power bars and turn them back on. He said you have to wait about 30 seconds. Thanks anyways for looking into it!
