My windows got corrupted and when i tried to reinstall XP, the F partition in my hard drive is shown as unformatted space. How can i recover the data from my F drive? Pls help.

If you re-installed WinXP using an ORIGINAL version of WinXP AND your F partition is larger than 127GB then you need to first install a service pack and then the partition may be OK.

If not, then use Testdisk to fix the partition. If there is mission critical data on the partition (no backups?) then first try recovery software.

When using testdisk it is important that you read the tutuorials FIRST.
