Putting a 128mb video card in a 500mhz Celeron wouldn't really improve much.
With a 100w PSU and 500MHz Celeron, I wouldn't go any higher than a 32mb TNT2/Radeon 7000/Geforce 2MX.
Be careful with 64MB cards. I once worked with an HP machine--366mhz AMD, 110w PSU, and it would only take CERTAIN 64MB cards--not all of them. I'm not sure if it was the PSU or a motherboard limitation. ie: a 32MB Geforce 2MX would work, while a 64MB wouldn't let it boot.
