Realtek Eternet NIC not working

February 24, 2010 at 02:01:11
Specs: Windows XP Pro
Hello everyone,

After much poking around to find why my internet connection went completely dead (0 sent and 0 received), I found the problem. The network adapter has quit working with this as Device Status: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).

When I click to troubleshoot the problem, it instructs that I uninstall the device, and re-install it.

When I try to uninstall it, it says: Failed to uninstall device. The device may be required to boot up the computer.

Any suggestions on fixing this please? Thanks in advance!
