hi i have a terrabyte hdd i just put in a new comp and its showing up as a raw file system and its got all my files on is there anyway over overcoming this with out losing my data please. any info is greatly recieved

One option is to try is a file recovery program. The following are some pretty good ones:

PC Inspector (freeware)
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pcinsp...

Zero assumption Recovery
http://www.z-a-recovery.com
The demo is limited
It will only recover 'up to' four folders per run
But you can make multiple runs

GetDataBack
http://www.runtime.org/

You will need another drive to copy the files to.

Might boot to a knoppix live cd to see if it can read it.

Are you sure the bios and os supports drives that big?

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
