My laptop continually makes this rattling noise.
It is only 4mnths old.
I had a problem when windows couldn't shut down (a program wasn't shutting down properly and prevented windows from shutting down)during the time it took me to work out what was wrong I had to switch off the laptop by holding down the on/off switch, I did this on numerous occasions.

"It is only 4mnths old" May be your answer. I would be tempted to take the laptop back on their warranty. Why keep it when you have a continuous problem?
Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
