Hi All
This is one of my most frustrating computer problems to date, the computer seems to be randomly restarting not shutting off just rebooting. I cant figure out that is causeing it. I keep a clean computer by keeping virus and antispyware run and updated and stay away from bad websites like fileshareing, myspace and such but just to be on the safe side I reformated my comp by writeing zeros to the drive. I then started new and 10min into useing the newly reinstalled system it reboots. I didnt even have all the drivers back in yet. There doesnt seem to be a patern or anything expt the comp freezes for 3-5 sec then restarts. when I check the system log under the admin tools nothing is listed and hasnt been for the life of the problem which has been about 3 weeks. I am wondering if it could be the psu starting to die or maybe the cpu? any thoughts? I dont have access to a new psu or cpu to try but I have swaped out the vid and sound cards and there isnt a modem in the computer.mobo

Checking the memory is probably the first thing to do.

There is a version to create a bootable floppy diskette and/or an ISO for creating a CD. Click on 'Free Download'.
Run it overnight and any failures are unacceptable.
