I have a computer that is misbehaving, and I am wondering if it is the motherboard or not. It is a solid machine that runs slow. About 6 months ago it started running things SLOW. way slower than it was previous. I thought it was a virus or ad aware, so I ran all kinds of programs to find one and could not. Then about 1 week ago it started randomly crashing with no code given. Complete to the point where you could not turn if off with the power button, you had to hit the toggle on the back to shut it off to reboot. I figured it was a serious hidden virus so I did a complete reformat. It did not help at all. It still runs slower than molasses in January, and still the crashes. Now I think it might be the motherboard, but a friend said it might be the HD actually. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.
