CPU/Ram: athlon 2200+ 1024mb ram

i have two 512 sticks of samsung pc2700 ram in my Asus A7V333 motherboard. ive tried maxmen, cacheman and freeram, and i cant get no more that like 750-820mb of my ram free i have 812mb free right now and my processes are using 83mb, wheres the other 129mb's going? thanks for the help.

I really would not even bother messing with memory optimizing programs with 1 GB of RAM. But if you want to really be able to tweak your system (I mean the kind of tweaking that never ends), you should play with Linux.

Swap space and caching of odds and ends (directories, files, your desktop background, etc.).
