1 GB* 1 GB DDR 2 800 might work but only at the speed supported by your motherboard at 667.

The P4 is a terrible performer plus the one you have only runs at 533MHz FSB. Increasing your RAM amount from 1.5GB to 2GB isn't gonna do much of anything. If you insist on doing it, stick with DDR2-667. You already have 1GB so all you'll need is another 1GB stick.

In case you didn't know, mixing RAM speeds forces the RAM speed to run at the speed of the slowest stick, so whether you have DDR2-667 + DDR2-533, or DDR2-800 + DDR533, makes no difference...both configs will run as DDR2-533. If you mix DDR2-667 & DDR2-800, they will run as DDR2-667.

Your board doesn't support DDR2-800 anyway & even if it did, it would NOT make your system perform any better unless you upgrade the CPU. My advice to you is to invest as little in this old system as possible. In other words, buy a single 1GB stick of DDR2-667 & be done with it.

One last thing, a RAM upgrade isn't gonna help gaming performance...not as long as you hang on to the 7300GT.
