my motherboard supports 2 gb ram and i had upgraded to 3 gb.After upgrading my ram from 1 gb to 3 gb my power supply exploded twice. So i bought a 600 watt power supply and removed my 1 gb ram and now its 2gb and my application processing has really become slow.It take ages to run nero burner or roxio.Sometimes when i am watching some movie and photoshop is running and burning a cd pc just turns off.I think soo with 1 gb ram it was much faster than now.

RAM will NOT burn out a power supply. The likely cause is you're buying cheap replacements & making your choice based on wattage rather than amperage. How much did you pay for your 600W unit...between $50-75? or closer to $25? Quaility brand name unit like Antec, Corsair, FSP/Sparkle, Thermaltake? or a cheapo brand like Allied, Deer, Hercules, L&C, Okia?
