Hi,
I have two 256 DDR SD Ram PC 2100 memory modules from my Dell which I have recently upgraded. I was wondering if this memory would be of any use on my dad's old Gateway Solo 9300 - now he's got a 128 PC100 SO Dim. I realize that his motherboard will not allow for faster memory speeds then what he has already got, but he could benefit from the extra megabytes if it would work.
Appreciate your help:)

You want to put desktop memory of any kind into a laptop? It will never fit, happen, or work.

I wasn't aware that Packard Bell still existed or even made computers. They are not available in the US, haven't been for years, and they were never very good, so I stand corrected.

I totally agree with you, they were never the best on the market.Sales now are very european based.
I don't have much to do with laptops, but I do have an old banger that still does its stuff. It's an old Compaq N series , not the fastest thing on earth but it is now over 7 years old and never once have I had a problem with it.Believe it or not it still gives over 40 mins on the original battery.
