Comment: ok, i have two 256 sticks and tried to add two more. the computer won't start with all four sticks. i tried the two new sticks alone in different slots, put the old ram in different slots....it started right up each time. but, all four at once is a no go. wondered if this has to do with a setting or something concerning the hyperthreading. i looked in the bios and didn't see anything. i checked the motherboard manual and it says nothing about special settings or anything for having four sticks. the motherboard is a "shuttle ab60n." the ram is corsair, all four sticks are identical. anyone else ever encounter this? thanks!!

Reply: (edit)What do you mean by 'no-go'? What exactly do you see/hear when you try to boot with all four sticks in? Does the BIOS report the amount of memory after the POST? Regards Wibs

Reply: (edit)Instead of the speculation go to www.crucial.com and see what you should have gotten and compare it towhat you got, and read the info there. There is more to it than just same speed. crucial guarantees compatibility, has a lifetime warranty and prompt shipping. Did you get that with your purchase? And of course we are all assuming that you put it in correctly.
