Yep, uh-huh - system will set memory to lowest speed installed.

When RAM sticks of differeing speeds are installed together, the system will automatically set ALL RAM to run at the speed of the slowest stick. PC2100 (133MHz/DDR266) is not designed to run at PC3200 speed (200MHz/DDR400), so they must both run at 133mhz/DDR266 to be able to work together.

If your CPU is running at 133MHz/266FSB, your RAM should be running at 133MHz/DDR266 anyway, regardless of what speed RAM you have installed.

This space for rent
