It's DDR RAM, which your mobo doesn't seem to support, must be fairly old then?

You'd be better off keeping one of the chips, and buying a mobo that will support 1 gig DDR sticks with the proceeds from the other two. Yeah, reckon they'd get snapped up pretty quick on Ebay for a reasonable price.............

Or yur local second hand PC dealer would no doubt be very interested too.

This is directly from Asus's site

"3 x DDR DIMM Sockets, Max. 3GB unbuffered PC2700/PC2100/PC1600 ECC/non-ECC DDR SDRAM Memory(PC 2700 Max. to 4 banks only) " thats why my board specs say.

But your mobo clearly doesn't have any DDR slots otherwise you'd be able to fit the sticks in!

First of all, the mobo can allow 4 banks of memory. I am pretty sure you are using double-sided modules(single sided is expensive$$$$) So you will only be able to use 2 modules in this mobo. How many notches are in your memory sticks?? 2 notches, and this will be a SDRAM module. 1 notch and it will be a ddr module. SDRAM is 168 pins and DDR is 184 Pins.

If you mean the notches in the bottom of the ram where it plugs in at My ram and the 1 gig chips both only have 1 notche about in the middle of it. if you mean on the sides of the ram my ram has 2 and the 1 gig has 3 holes.

After searching around I think the 1 Gig Chips are SIMM's not DIMM's Would that be why they didnt fit?

Check on the PCB by the gold pins. Does it say how many pins there are?

A 200 pin module is not what you need.
You need 184 pin memory.
Where did you get this memory??
