This is in continuation to my already long ordeal. I was building a PC for a friend and it just wouldn't post. I swapped the RAM with the RAM I was using in my machine, and the PC I was building worked just fine. My PC also worked just fine with that stick of RAM that wasn't working in the other PC (confussing, I know...) Well, my PC was working fine until a fan caught my heatsync fan and fried the hell out of my CPU. I swapped it with another working one, and still no post. I ordered a new motherboard and a new chip...put the ram and video card in and nothing. no post, no beeps, nothing. When I take the ram out completely, I get the long beep which means a ram problem...but no beeps with it in. So my questions is this: Is it possible that my video card got fried somehow in the meltdown? I somehow don't think so...but is it possible? I'll pick up another stick of ram today after work and try that...but the fact it worked in one motherboard, and now won't work in this one (which is the same brand...SY-KT333 ultra plat) is somewhat mind-boggling. Any advice would be great...thanks!
