Hello evyone.

Well, this is a long story.
I bought this 256 RAM SDRAM [ Hyundai ] about 10 months ago and it worked fine until one day [ I was playing a good 3D game ] when it suddenly restarted.

After that I tried formattign hard drive and installed XP again. It didn't install properly. After doing this 4 times I got doubt and tried from my buddy's RAM. Worked fine. I then installed OS woth my frinds' RAM and put this RAM and booted. First it clears userpreferences and next time I get BLue screen on XP [ STOP error ] etc.

Tried this RAM at my buddy's place. His XP OS also crashed. Sometimes it crashes imeeidtely on boot, other times atfer running for an hour or so.The RAM chip is still in WARRANTY and he's testing it on NT,98 and it works fine.

What is the problem ? I heard XP is intolerant to slightest defect in RAM. Is it true ? Please help me.

Please .... Thanks in advance.

Yeah bad RAM causes all sorts of problems. Get it replaced ASAP. OS installs fail, blue screen, system hive(registry) gets written wrong, etc.
