i have 2 Kingston memory modules,1024Mb and 512Mb. both are PC2700. what is the best/ideal placement to Mother Board slots? or is there really matter? i have 3 memory slots on my MB.

Well, you have to have a module in slot 1, put your gig stick there and I suppose slot 2 would be the place for your second stick.
