If you use your puter for a lot of games/graphic intense apps/High end calculations then you'll see a big difference. If you just use it for netsurfing and simple stuff then you probably won't see much difference. Performance is also affected by other things such as VGA card, CPU clockspeed etc. If you're running XP on a 233Mhz CPU then adding ram is probably a waste of time. You're on the bare minimum XP will run on. Seriously consider upgrading to a faster CPU as well as or instead of extra RAM.

Yeah, if you run XP, definitely consider it, unless you only use your system for the most mundane of tasks.
