Comment:

alright i have 2 sticks of pc133 256mb and they are only running at 128mb per stick
the memory that was in there before was a stick of pc100 128mb
the motherboard has a 133mhz fsb, and supports pc133 ram its a fic fb11 it has 4 dimm slots and can support up to 1gb of mem http://www.fica.com/site/html/products/mb/detail.asp?cat_id=240000050&C_ID=240000075
do i have to do something in the bios to change what speed it is or what type of ram it is seeing as its faster than what was previously in there
because it is recognizing it but only at half of what it really is
ive moved them into different slots and they still run at 128mb each when they should be 256mb each any help would be much appreciated ;]]

I have answered this questions many times and will give you the same advice. You cannot do anything about it.

Apparantly, you have bought a high density RAM but your computer will accept only low density RAM. If you have 4 slots and the Max memory that you can install is only one Gig, then each slot will only take up to 256Meg (256x4)Max. In order to use high density RAM, your computer has to take at least up to 512Meg per slot, otherwise it will be recognized as half the value(like in your case), or in some cases, will not be recognized at all. Online buyers visiting Pricewatch.com are specifically warned of this problem.

Clock speed should not be a problem. Most PC133 are backward compatible and will run at 100MHZ. It's either "work", or "not work at all", in your case it is "half work".
