I took out a Ram Stick and I accidentally Broke off a Ram Holder.Now The Machine refuses to turn On.It has 256MB of Ram

Not any more it doesn't.

If you broke the slot right off the motherboard then unless you are really good at microsoldering then you need a replacement motherboard.

If it is just the arm that seats it...push the ram in...seat one side and give it a try.

I think that's a fair assessment of the situation.

Even if you manage to get the RAM in enough for the computer to boot it is going to be problematic. Thermal expansion is going to loosen the module and it is likely to be constant source of problems.

A new motherboard looks like the only long term solution.

I will have a shop replace the motherboard for me because i'm not good at solidering and i don't like to take laptops apart But Thanks for the ideas.
