Hey i am going to buy some new ram and am in need of some help. First off i have an a7v333 motherboard which supports ddr333 also known as ddr2700. I THINK that it only supports DDR. I found that my local store is having a sale on pc133 memory. Will this be usable on my motherboard?
My second question is that even if it was usable on my motherboard would it be wiser to get 512mb of pc133 or 256mb of ddr2700?

Hi,
No mention PC133 on the Asus site relative to this board. So, I would say it does not support it.
How much ram depends on what you are going to do with the machine. With that said, my personal opinion is that if you are going to be running XP with any gaming involved, then go with 512.
Good luck!

It would be very rare to find a MOBO in which DDRAM and SDRAM can be mixed. Yes there are quite a few that accept either one or the other, but don't even think of mixing the two technologies together.
