Ram... Functioning but not?

Specs: Windows XP, 3Ghz Dual core/3.25Gig RAM
[SOLVED] Seems to be anyway...

So to start, I have an acer m5100. I changed the video card, power supply and now ram. Basically, its the cpu, motherboard, and a few sticks of ram that are OEM.

I got 2 sticks of transcend 1gb pc6400 ddr2 800mhz ram.

In the four slots available, the first 2 (closest to the cpu) are stock 1gb ram sticks that came with acer. I tried to pull out the third and put the 2 transcend ones but as soon as my comp is under load, it shuts down. I got a BSOD with a IRLQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message on top but its wierd. Ive had 3 sticks of the OEM ram in there for a while with no problems under load.

Am I missing something? Could my fourth ram slot be faulty?

EDIT: the acer OEM ram is Hynix 1gb 2rx8 pc2-5300u-555

I am running the 2 transcend pc6400's and i used them under the same load at which the comp shut down before...

So I matched the 2 Transcend faster ram sticks in the first 2 slots I have, and 2 of the Hynix (slower) sticks in the last 2 slots and it fixed the problem. Under the same load in which it shut down before, it played through and even worked a bit smoother (dual channel babay).

Hope this helps anyone else with the similar problem
