Ok i have this crap computer that i wanted to put more RAM into. Originally it had a 256mb and a 128mb DDR ram installed. I had the same exact computer missing a hard drive so i took the one 256mb stick out and put it in place of the 128mb in the pc im working on now to make it have 512mb RAM. So i did that and the computer recognized the upgrade. But now when i turn on my pc it says this messege, "917- Expansion riser not detected.Unplug machine and install riser." So i thought maybe the ram was bad so i put back in the 128mb and still recieve the same messege. However it gives me the option to boot by pressing F1 at this error prompt. I read an older thread that suggests I should fix the riser and check loose connections. This really helped and I don't see Error #917 anymore but it still asks to press F1 to save configuration changes and my keyboard doesn't work now. Please help me!
