I just bought a new computer online, and then decided to buy it some RAM to replace what will already come with it/ in it. It has 2 1GB DDR2 800MHz SDRAM in it, and I bought 2 2GB. The computer is an HP Pavilion Slimline s3700z PC with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 dual-core 2.7GHz processor.
I bought 2 2GB 800MHz DDR2 N-ECC CL6 DIMM. Will the new Ram work?

You should have check BEFORE buying. It does appear you have the right RAM though. Below is a link from HP showing what you can use.

More than likely, but you bought slow CL6 RAM. Hopefully you didn't pay much for it. Here's 4GB (2 x 2GB) of Corsair DDR2-800 CL5 for $15 after rebate:

This Corsair RAM for $17 after rebate has even better specs. Definitely worth the extra $2...lol:

The RAM works great! Thank you both for responding. It was a little difficult to get to the slots, but I managed, and now my computer is running very well. If I ever need any help with purchasing ram I will take your suggestion into advisement.

Thanks RLR
