ok, had a ram prob. bord can hold 2gbs put two new matched gbs in and com. wouldnt start up took one out and presto.

my question is the ram stick are 1024 or somthing like that is a RAM 1000 or is it 1024.

my thinking is gb is 1000 and the extra 24 is putting the bord over the 2gb

thanks dj

No, 1GB actually equals 1024MB, 1000MB is just a generalization. Did you try booting with only one of the sticks trying both of them. I see that you have tried one, but did you try the other. Maybe it's faulty??

This sounds like a case of not seating the memory properly.
