rainbow colored line on lcd monitor

Specs: WinXP Pro SP2, Barton 2500+ / 1GB DDR333

I've been using an LCD Neovo 17" monitor for the last 9 months. Usually it is on for about 15 hours a day.

About a week ago I noticed that on the far right side of the screen there is a rainbow colored line, like the colors you get when you press on a lcd.

Is this monitor about to die? I can live with the funny little line, but if this is a really bad sign I should prob. start looking around for monitor deals, or talk to Neovo.

Sounds like its on its way out. Is the monitor placed beside a window or a wall which leads outside? if it is, then it could be condensation. This happens with CRT monitors too. Try moving the monitor to an inside wall of your house, if it doesnt clear up after a couple days, then its on its way out.

Hmm, no it's not by any entrances.

I noticed it's not always there though. It does disappear when running different fullscreen applications.

Also when I change the size of the screen the line moves too. So it's not the pixels that are dead.

For the moment I've resized the windows screen so that the far right 3 millimeters are off the screen and the splotchy red, blues, and purples don't show up.
