Comment:

I have bought a 17" LG LCD Monitor.

When I run the monitor at 1280x1024 (75 Hertz) it gives rain like grains on places where images (desktop wallpaper, etc...) are there. Also running the monitor at any lower resolution makes the image quality very poor.

Is it because I have got 128 MB RAM and a cheap graphics card (Vintron 32 MB)? Or is it because there is some problem with LCD Monitor?

Note: I have a Sony 15" LCD which runs at 1024x768 (75 Hertz), It runs perfectly on my computer.

its your video card's issue
you need a better one or you should update the driver for your video card, also go look online and see if there is any drivers for your montior

I have all the latest drivers (Graphics Card and LCD Monitor) installed.

Do you think upgrading my computer to 256 MB RAM and 64 MB graphics card will solve the problem?

nothing got to do with your ram, you don't need to spent money on useless stuff, you don't do a lot of mutitasking do you?
if you open a lot of applications at one time or play a lot of games, get more ram will help
and for your video, upgrade to 64 will be much much better

Have you tried the LCD monitor on another computer? If not, that should be the first thing to try. If it performs fine on the other computer, the problem lies with your's.

More memory on a graphics card will not necessarily increase the performance, or fix your bug. Quality is better than quantity. Same in the case of RAM, although I doubt your RAM has anything to do with your problem.

Post back with your results.
