What interface is needed. USB, Firewire 400, Firewire 800, ESATA?

You need to have the capability on your computer. ESATA is the fastest but not many MBoards are equipped. Firewire 800 would be next and then Firewire 400 and USB 2.0.

Lacie is a company that has been providing storage solutions to a host of different industries for some time. Lacie units will come at a slight premium price. If speed is not of great importance USB 2.0 will be the most versital. I did negnect one segment of external storage. That would be networked storage.

What will be the use of this external stroage?
