can you fit a raid card to any motherboard
heres what im trying to do im trying to change cases (2 drive case to 3or 4 drive case) i have hdd on one ide (master) on other ide i have dvd writer and cd writer i want to add a dvd rom (yes i know the dvd writer will do this but i still want to add it for everyday use as dvd writer cost a fortune) dont want to put it on same ide as hdd as i have been told not to (is this correct) so on this forum i was told to get a raid card (any ideas which one to get as i have no clue) and will a raid be as good as the normal ide (will this make more heat so i will need a new fan (getting a new case anyway see other post somewhere on this page any help welcome

basically raid card setup is jsut like IDE you just hook up cables to the master raid card and all you need is drivers and it should automatically detect your DVD-Rom
