Hi,

We have IBM X220 with dual array (RAID 5). Now two disks failed together in each array (one array for OS & other array for DATA). Please suggest how do we go for rebuilding? Whether OS array disk first or Data array disk or both together?

Thanks

Replace both drives immediately before you experience another drive failure or you will lose all the data with no hope of recovery.

System should support Hot Spares and I highly recommend that since the hot spare fails over automatically if a drive fails. Gives you the extra margin of error and you can replace the hot spare without impact to productivity [if you can reallocate it via server based software vs shutdown and init via scsi bios]

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
