Comment: My friend bought a Radeon X1600 to replace the X300 he got in his Sony Vaio (P4 3.2 ghz, 1 gb ram, 200 gb sata hdd, Windows XP media center edition). The video card is for PCI-Express 16x and he does have that kind of slot in his Vaio. But everytime I try to install it in his Vaio for him, the PC doesn't boot up. There's no beeps, nothing on screen, nothing, I don't even think the PC boots up. There's no integrated video on it, so it's not a question of if I plugged the VGA cable in the right video-out. I made sure the cable was in all the way. No avail. So I tried it in my Acer PC (has a 300w PSU, I'm not sure what his Vaio has) and it works fine! Can anyone tell me why it's not working in his Sony Vaio? (it's like 2 years old btw)
