I was wondering what would be a better guy for me a radeon or nvidia video card. But before you say get a radeon 9800 pro i am not looking at spending that much money. I was looking at maybe getting like a radeon 9200 or a ZGeforce 4 ti4200 128mb. Also could you tell me why it would be better?

Between the two, I'm not sure which is better, but I can tell you that most often, the 64Mb GF 4 4200 will outperform the 128MB model because of faster memory access.

Jake is right about the faster access... however the whole purpose of the 128mb design was to provide the user with a card he wouldn't need to replace every half year to keep up with texture size demands.
I personally like the gf4 series... I've had bad experiences with the gf 256 sdr and with the radeon cards. Don't go cheap on your Memory, Motherboard, Powersupply, or Cooling. Do your homework on parts and you should be fine with compatibility.
If you don't wanna spend a lot of money, you can still pick up a 9500 Pro for under 200 bucks. If ya cant find that, then get a 9600 pro for even cheaper. They both outperform the TI4200 in Direct3d applications, but are outperformed by the TI4200 in GL applications. So its really your call. THere is a good review here...
