has anybody bought and overclocked the new 9600 pro? I have read reviews that say it can overclock very well. the thing is these reviews were done with cards supplied to the reviewers by ati just before they went on sale to the public.

Hey, I just got mine. I used 3DMark03 to test it. I can get the processor speed up to about 490MHZ which seems a little low compared to what the reviews say but I did get my memory upto 355Mhz which is pretty damn good. I'm a little pissed about not getting past 500Mhz for the processor but considering I got an extra 140Mhz with just software is pretty good. Get RadLinker it is so incredible. You create a short cut using the Radlink option in the popup menu when you right click a program item. Then look at the properties of the shot cut. You can change the speed of your card for each program you make a short cut to which means you're not burning your card up while typing up a paper. You could even make different speeds for the same program ie looking at where artifacts start to show up when running 3Dmark.
What kinds of overclocking are other people able to get!?!
