Well i am running windows 2000 with a radeon 64m video card and i have been getting almost identical errors when playing neverwinter nights and counterstrike.I have tried reinstalling new drivers and tried removing the video card completely...my cpu temp runs at about 100degrees f. I dont know much about temps if that is good or not but i have a 3 fan system in an antec case.i also have had blue screen o death issues with dumps of physical memory. The exact error i get when playing a game is
Windows application error
The instruction @ "0xffc00000" refrenced memory @ "0xffc00000". The memory could not be "read"
click ok to terminate the program.

also i get

Windows application error
The instruction @ "0x211127ae" refrenced memory @ "0xffc00000". The memory could not be "read"
click ok to terminate the program.

someone please help ..this is really starting to piss me off

Try moving your RAM memory sticks around, that's if you have more than one stick of memory. Sounds like you have OEM memory installed. Just a suggestion. :)

I answered this post somewhere else but I'll post again.

If you look at the memory address where the error occurs, you'll notice is is the same. This indicates you either have bad RAM, or the timings are cranked up.

Check the speed in the BIOS and also disable any tweaks (like latency times) and other configuration settings (like interleaving)

try that for a time and see what happens, if it still occurs remove a stick of RAM and run - eventually you'll figure out which one is causing problems.

Also might want to try disabling the video shadowing in the bios. You will lose performance while gaming but it might help narrow down the problem. I think that this was probably meant in above reply OZ but just wanted to specify.
