AGP is going out of style. Are you sure you don't want to switch to PCI-E?

Go for a PCI-X motherboard, pretty much any card from the FX5500 to the 7950GTX or 1900XTX is available on PCI-X so dont worry, it is the new graphics platform. The best card available on AGP is the 7800GS+ from Gainward or whatever and I think will be the last up to date card made for AGP. Dont get AGP or you will leave yourself with no upgrade posibilitys.

The best PCI-X cards? Probably the 7600GT for midrange and then anything from the 7800GT or X1800XT up for high performance..

Don't be sure on that one though ATI shocks people all the time. They just produced a x1300 pci grpahics card. ATI will prob shock people in 2009 and come out with an AGP card.
