Is there a way to copy exactly everything from one hardrive to another and if so is it possible to do it even if one of the doesnt have a OS on it?

well what i want to do is copy everything thats on my dads computer as well as OS and then put it on the HD i bought and put that HD in my computer is that possible?

If you are trying to get get around buying your own OS, it won't work.

It is possible with certain operating systems. You just have to make a disk image.

Don't bother trying it with XP Home. At the very least, You will run into activation problems with the second system.
