Hello!

Last night, on christmas eve of course, I ran chkdsk on my laptop. I did it by clicking on the c drive and going to properties and clicking on chkdsk. It said it would need to boot up to run this process. So I restarted my computer and it did its thing. Then it stuck at the windows start up menu and I did a hard boot. Below is the error message I received:

Broadcom UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082) v.2.0.
Copy Right © 2000-2003 Broadcom Corporation
Copy Right © 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
All right reserved.

PXE-E61:Media Test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting Broadcom PXE ROM.

Reboot and Select proper Boot device
Or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key.

So I really don't understand what's going on it was working perfectly fine before I was just doing some regular maintenance. Please help!

Thanks & Merry Christmas!

Jane

Did you make any other changes such as the BIOS settings? It appears that your laptop is trying to boot off the network. If not, it's possible that your HDD is going south.
