PVA or TN monitor ?

Hi, Can anybody tell me what is the difference between TFT/PVA and TFT/TN? I was looking to buy an LCD monitor and came across this terminolgy.

PVA means Pattern Vertical Alignment TN means Twisted Nematic There is also STN: supertwisted nematic. and about a dozen other types

PVA on the other hand have much better viewing angles, higher contrast, and better color representation but the have the slowest responce time unless you get one with overdrive technology.
