Right basically I was wondering if someone could help me here.

So I have found a list of parts I wish to buy and then put together, I was wondering if someone could check to see if there all compatible with each other as i don't trust my own judgement. Also i've only every worked on old atx machines, so i'm not very sure about modern machines.

Heres the list of URL's.

If I need something else, please point out and recommend other things please?

also I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy parts in bulk for cheaper?

Thanks.

I know this is posted in the wrong area, but ack well.

I don't see a CPU or Power Supply on your list.

There's no CPU or PSU listed. And why would you get an SLi capable motherboard, then buy an ATI video card for it? (and a weak one at that). The HD3450 is NOT a gaming card so if that's one of the purposes for this machine, I suggest you select a different card.

Hows about
MOBO - Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 £60 (136363)

Proc - Intel C2D E2180 £52 (132064)

Graphics - Powercooler X1950Pro £81 (132535)
(PCI-e /512Mb/DDR3)

RAM - OCZ (2x1Gb) £30 (116755)

DVD - LiteOn Sata £25 (127442)
DVD+-RW inc Nero

HDD - Maxtor 250GB SataII £36 (131214)

Case - Antec NSK4480 £52 (130947)
inc Earthwatts 380w PSU

I have put the eBuyer quick links in brackets.
In total comes to £390(inc VAT) and you can get free delivery from ebuyer.

If you want to save some cash get a mobo with integrated graphics and ditch the x1950Pro. eg - GA-G33-S2L (139787) for £60

You can always add hard-drives later as you fill them and the Gigabyte boards *should* allow you to overclock the processor if you wish.

Good luck.

Edit - almost forgot - XP Home OEM £52 (code 114048)

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3P
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420
2x1Gb Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800Mhz
Sapphire x1950Pro
160Gb Seagate Baracuda
500W FSP Bluestorm PSU
